A lil about Danielle

I’m on a mission to brighten the world through professional, thoughtful design and illustration. I am a collaborator by nature who seeks to fully understand the creative needs for each and every project I work on. I utilize my full creative skillset to overcome every creative challenge I face. This is just a fancy way of saying I’m a multidisciplinary artist who is also a great teammate!

I studied at the College for Creative Studies and earned a degree in graphic design from Spring Arbor University (Go Cougs!). Throughout my career, I’ve balanced full-time work as a corporate senior art director with freelance projects, practicing everything from murals to illustration, printmaking, apparel design and more. My husband, Eric, fur-child, Grizz, and I split our time between Detroit and the Traverse City area. When I’m not designing, you can most likely find me in a thrift shop, garage sale or antique store, scoring deals and adding to my vintage salt & pepper shaker collection.

I thrive in the realm of visual communication—it's where I shine. I'm passionate about simplifying intricate concepts and data into compelling visuals and graphics that resonate with audiences. With over 8 years of corporate design experience, including 4 years as a Senior Art Director, I bring a wealth of expertise to the table. I’m much better with pictures rather than words, but don’t just take my word for it, view my portfolio here!

  • “Danielle is hands-down the most talented designer I've ever worked with. She flies below the radar a bit and that's what makes her an MVP — she's incredibly humble about her work and is always willing to collaborate and hear the vision others bring to the table. We've worked together in the corporate space since 2016, but she's also the first person I reach out to when I have a personal creative project I need help with, and I've referred her to many friends and family members who have loved what she created for them. She moves easily between the worlds of clean, dynamic designs for our company and super creative custom art, and manages to fuse them in a way that makes our daily work more innovative. She's also an excellent project manager and has never missed a deadline, which is a huge plus when it comes to design work.”

  • “I cannot say enough good things about working with Danielle. She always goes above and beyond, creating the most incredible designs. She is able to take the abstract vision that we have and run with it, creating something even better than we could have imagined! We’ve gotten so many compliments from our donors on her designs. Aside from her amazing talent as a designer, I also really appreciate Danielle’s professionalism. She always adheres to deadlines, is very responsive to calls and emails and is extremely reliable. This is not always the case with other vendors we work with, so I really appreciate that Danielle is someone we can count on!”

  • “I am proud to recommend Danielle for any form of mural or creative design project. She presented her vision, was on time, neat and finished in a very timely manner. She preps te area, paints and then coats her creatiosfo a long lasting affect and effect! Her artwork has helped my building in downtown Beulah identify as a friendly, inclusive, artistic and unique store. As a form of public art, it brings a lovely feel to the downtown community.”
